2009 Student Scholarship Recipientsn>

The FHF scholarship has grown to become one of the largest scholarships of its kind and one of the most sought-after scholarship in the region.

Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate a strong commitment to themselves and to their communities by participating in academics, community service, sporting, and extracurricular activities such as student council, tutoring, chorus, drama and student outreach programs.

Our Mentor Program Each student receiving a scholarship is required to participate in the FHF Mentor Program. Our mentor program is designed to offer each student the opportunity to grow personally and academically through regular contacts with a FHF Board Member. A Board Member Mentor is assigned to each student at the beginning of the school year.

At least twice during the course of the school year, mentors contact their protégés to talk about activities at school as well as the students’ goals and aspirations for their future. Student protégés are encouraged to call their mentor directly with questions or to use as a sounding board for ideas that they may have.
